In Sindh and Baluchistan 8 lakh tonnes onion production is expected. The Sindh Resident Association says that the government should take immediate measures for the onion export, which will benefit only not only farmers but it will also help the country to get a valuable exchange. According to the Sindh Resident Association, a bumper crop of onion is expected in Sindh and Baluchistan. It will not only improve its supply at local level, but the country will also get valuable foreign exchange. In addition to that they said South East and Middle East countries import onions from India to fulfil their needs, if the government take immediate steps quickly, then this market can be found in Pakistan, which can help the country to earn valuable exchange.
