Rights of Sugarcane growers to be protected: Chief Minister Punjab Advisor

Advisor to Chief Minister Punjab on Health Hanif Khan Pitafi has said that sugar mill owners would not be allowed to exploit farmers.The government was extending subsidy worth billions of rupees to sugar mills. The mill owners were bound to pay dues to farmers in 15 days. He said that the government was striving to offer every possible relief to farmer.

Deputy Commissioner Rajanpur Muhammad Altaf Baloch briefed the advisor about various steps taken by the district government to provide relief to farmers.Hanif Khan Pitafi directed DPO Haroon Rasheed to take strict action in case of any complaint regarding scales for weighing sugarcane.Later on, he visited Indus sugar mill and inspected various operations at the mill.
