Agricultural department has advised farmers to follow agricultural recommendations to overcome water scarcity. The spokesman agriculture department said that timely cultivation should be done for every crop. Recommended rate of wheat should be used per acre so that good growth can be achieved. However, he said that for the cultivation of crops, laser technology should be used in order to conserve moisture and for wheat zero tillage and drill method must be used. They said that in standing cotton areas wheat should be cultivated in lines while in case of broadcasting wheat should be sown in raised beds so that less area can be irrigated and water can be saved. They said that proper attention should be given to control weed and use of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium fertilizers must be done at appropriate time. For the irrigation vegetables and gardens drip or sprinkler irrigation system must be used in order to conserve water. Rain water must be store so that at the critical stages of crops irrigation can be ensured.
