According to Agriculture Department spokesman, gardeners should take special care of the fruit plants in the summer so that the better quality of fruits can be achieved. Fruits can be burned because of hot and dry climate, and its peel can be shattered because of which affects the fruit quality. The stomata of the leaves closed due to excessive heat because of which there is no proper photosynthesis process and the process of food processing is affected. Leaves become yellow due to severe heat and leaves not able to make carbohydrate due to lack of chlorophyll and thus the fruit growth are affected badly. Strong heat causes severe fruit falling. The spokeswoman further said that light irrigation should be done from the period of 10 to 12 days for large plants and 5-6 days for small plants. Newly planted plants are more influenced by heat.
