Delay in crushing, cost of sugar has been increased by one Rupees per kg.

Mills are supplying less sugar and the demand is higher, more likely to increase prices.

Sugar mills has reduced the supply of sugar on delay of crushing due to which sugar rates in the local wholesale market has risen to Rs 49 per kilogram. According to Dealers, Sugar Mills are not fulfilling the demand due to which increase in sugar rates per kg has been recorded. According to the Dealers, if the crushing process is not started on time the rates may increase more.
